RO: Unii se duc la schi în vacanța de iarnă a copiilor, alții se duc la soare. Noi ne-am dus în Belgia 😉. Nu mă înțelege greşit, dragă călătorule. Ne-a plăcut, dar dacă erau cu câteva grade mai mult în termometru, era şi mai bine.
Totuşi, nu ne-a plouat, aşa cum se prevedea. Tot e un lucru bun, nu-i aşa? Hai să nu mai lungesc vorba şi să-ți povestesc despre vacanța în Bruxelles.

However, it didn’t rain as predicted. That’s still a good thing, isn’t it? Let’s not waste any more time and tell you how we spent a few days in Brussels.
RO: Zbor Cluj-Napoca- Bruxelles
Ca să ajungem în Bruxelles, am zburat cu WizzAir din Cluj-Napoca. Deşi este aeroport şi în Bruxelles, companiile low-cost zboară de fapt până la aeroportul Charleroi, adică undeva la o oră distanță de Bruxelles.

To get to Brussels, we flew with WizzAir from Cluj-Napoca. Although there is an airport near Brussels, low-cost companies actually fly to Charleroi Airport, which is about an hour away from Brussels.
RO: Transfer aeroport Charleroi – Bruxelles
Pentru transfer, poți lua autobuzul, care costă 18 euro de persoană. Noi am rezervat transferul prin Flibco, dar nu cu un autobuz, pentru că tot citisem că este foarte aglomerat şi riști să nu urci în el. Aşa că am dat 25 de euro de persoană pentru un transfer privat. În total, am cheltuit doar pe transfer 200 de euro. Da, e mult. Dar a fost cea mai ok variantă pentru noi. Poți să optezi pentru ora la care vrei să te preia transferul, iar în mai puțin de o oră ajungi la destinație.
Transfer Charleroi – Brussels Airport
For the transfer, you can take the bus, which costs 18 euros per person. We booked the transfer through Flibco, but not with a bus, because I had read that it is very crowded and you risk not getting on it. So we paid 25 euros per person for a private transfer. In total, we spent 200 euros on the transfer alone. Yes, it’s a lot. But it was the best option for us. You can choose the time you want the transfer to pick you up, and in less than an hour you will reach your destination.
RO: Cazare Bruxelles
Am căutat multă vreme o cazare potrivită pentru vacanța în Bruxelles, care să fie aproape de gară, care să aibă mic dejun inclus, care să aibă câteva restaurante prin apropiere și care să fie aproape de metrou și tramvai. Şi am găsit-o. Hotelul ales de noi se numeşte Urban Yard, iar şederea noastră aici a fost fix aşa cum ne-am imaginat.
Nu doar că hotelul în sine are un design foarte fain, dar şi camera aleasă de noi a fost spațioasă, a avut un pat matrimonial şi o canapea extensibilă. Iar micul dejun a fost foarte bogat și gustos. Despre acesta am scris mai multe aici.

We searched for a long time for accommodation that was close to the train station, that had breakfast included, that had a few restaurants nearby, and that was close to the metro and tram. And we found it. The hotel we chose is called Urban Yard, and our stay here was exactly as we imagined.
Not only does the hotel itself have a very cool design, but the room we chose was also spacious, it had a double bed and a sofa bed. And the breakfast was very rich and tasty. I wrote more about it here.
RO: Restaurante în Bruxelles – unde am mâncat bine
Am dat numai de restaurante foarte ok bune în vacanța noastră în Bruxelles. Aşa cum am spus şi la începutul acestui articol, am găsit restaurante chiar lângă hotelul unde am stat, iar asta ne-a prins foarte bine. Restaurantele încercate de noi au fost La Ruche, Hard Rock Cafe, Sans 13, Brasserie Saint Nicolas, Barbq Cafe.
Dintre toate, cel mai mult mi-a plăcut la Hard Rock Cafe. Interiorul restaurantului este decorat cu obiecte aparținând unor legende ale muzicii, inclusiv un costum din dantelă purtat de Madonna și cascheta militară a lui Elvis Presley din perioada serviciului său în armata americană.
Hard Rock Cafe este situat în Bruxelles, în faimoasa Grand Place, într-o clădire patriciană din secolul al XVI-lea, restaurată cu grijă. Am mâncat burgeri, salată Caesar şi paste. Toate au fost delicioase. Bonus: de aici poți să vezi Grand Place.
Dacă vrei să-ți faci o idee despre cât costă să mănânci la un restaurant în Bruxelles, îți las aici câteva prețuri: un espresso costă 3/3,5 euro, o bere 5 sau 7 euro, o apă plată la jumătate de litru în jur de 6 euro. Pentru un fel de mâncare principal am plătit între 15 şi 25 de euro.
EN: Restaurants in Brussels – where we ate well
We only found very good restaurants during our vacation in Brussels. As I said at the beginning of this article, we found restaurants right next to the hotel where we stayed, and that suited us very well. The restaurants we tried were La Ruche, Hard Rock Cafe, Sans 13, Saint Nicolas Braserie, Barbq Cafe.
Of all of them, I liked Hard Rock Cafe the most. The interior of the restaurant is decorated with objects belonging to music legends, including a lace suit worn by Madonna, and Elvis Presley’s military cap from his time in the US Army.
Hard Rock Cafe is located in Brussels, in the famous Grand Place, in a carefully restored 16th-century patrician building.
We had burgers, Caesar salad and pasta. All were delicious. Bonus: you can see the Grand Place from here.
If you want to get an idea of how much it costs to eat at a restaurant in Brussels, here are some prices: an espresso costs 3/3.5 euros, a beer 5 or 7 euros, a half-litre bottle of water around 6 euros. For a main course we paid between 15 and 25 euros.
RO: Transport în Bruxelles
Am circulat și cu metroul, şi cu autobuzul, și cu tramvaiul. Sistemul de transport e foarte bine pus la punct, aşa că poți să ajungi uşor cam peste tot. O călătorie costă 3,2 euro și partea cea mai faină este că poți să plăteşti cu cardul peste tot.

We traveled by metro, bus, and tram. The transportation system is very well-established, so you can easily get everywhere. A trip costs 3.2 euros and the best part is that you can pay by card everywhere.
RO: Cum mi s-a părut oraşul?
Orașul are multe obiective turistice frumoase, pe care ar fi păcat să nu le vizitezi. În plus, mi s-a părut destul de sigur. Un singur lucru nu mi-a plăcut: mizeria de pe străzi. Nu știu dacă e așa mereu, dar mi s-a părut un oraș care nu excelează deloc la capitolul curățenie.

EN: How is the city?
The city has many beautiful tourist attractions, which it would be a shame not to visit. Brussels is a city full of history, impressive architecture, and an authentic European vibe! There is only one thing I didn’t like: the garbage on the streets. I don’t know if it’s always like this, but it seemed like a city that doesn’t excel at all when it comes to cleanliness.
