Unde se află Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries?
Hotelul se află în Drunen, într-o zonă împădurită, chiar lângă Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park – o rezervație naturală impresionantă, cunoscută pentru dunele sale de nisip și traseele de drumeții.
În plus, hotelul este situat convenabil:
- la aproximativ 20 de minute de orașul ‘s-Hertogenbosch
- aproape de celebrul parc de distracții Efteling
Noi l-am ales pentru că era aproape de Efteling, despre care poți citi aici, dar și pentru că ne-a plăcut cum arăta.
Cum a fost apartamentul nostru de la Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries?
Hotelul oferă un număr restrâns de camere (12), ceea ce creează o atmosferă intimă și liniștită. Camerele sunt decorate în tonuri naturale și sunt dotate cu facilități moderne precum:
- aer condiționat
- Wi-Fi gratuit
- TV cu ecran plat
- baie privată
Un element inedit: hotelul este integrat într-un complex cu manej, iar unele camere oferă vedere către grajduri și cai – o experiență aparte pentru oaspeți. Apartamentul nostru a avut câteva ferestre spre grajduri și cai și trebuie să recunosc că ne-a plăcut să vedem căluții.
Ce ne-a plăcut la Restaurantul D’n Dries?
Nu mă așteptam ca mâncarea să fie atât de bună, dar sincer, a fost highlight-ul șederii. Aici poți savura:
- preparate tradiționale olandeze
- specialități sezoniere
- influențe din bucătăria franceză și asiatice
Terasa spațioasă, amplasată în mijlocul naturii, este locul ideal pentru o masă relaxantă după o zi de explorare. Noi am luat micul dejun și cina doar în interior, pentru că am prins doar zile răcoroase, dar terasa era frumos amenajată.
Zona de echitație de la Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries
Unul dintre detaliile care mi s-au părut cu adevărat speciale la Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries este faptul că hotelul este conectat direct cu o zonă de echitație – și nu doar simbolic, ci chiar face parte din experiența locului.
Practic, nu vorbim despre un hotel obișnuit, ci despre un spațiu unde natura și activitățile ecvestre se îmbină firesc. Grajdurile sunt chiar în apropiere, iar pe parcursul zilei poți vedea caii plimbându-se sau fiind antrenați.
În plus, faptul că poți să-ți bei cafeaua privind caii sau să te plimbi în jurul manejului adaugă o notă de calm și autenticitate greu de găsit în alte locuri.

Set in a spectacular natural setting in the south of the Netherlands, Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries is an ideal destination for those seeking peace, nature and genuine hospitality.
Where is Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries located?
The hotel is located in Drunen, in a wooded area, right next to the Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park – an impressive nature reserve known for its sand dunes and hiking trails.
The hotel is also conveniently located:
- about 20 minutes from the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch
- close to the famous Efteling theme park
We chose it because it was close to Efteling, which you can read about here, but also because we liked the way it looked.
How was our apartment at Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries?
The hotel offers a small number of rooms (12), which creates an intimate and quiet atmosphere. The rooms are decorated in natural tones and are equipped with modern amenities such as:
- air conditioning
- free Wi-Fi
- flat-screen TV
- private bathroom
A unique element: the hotel is integrated into a riding complex, and some rooms offer views of the stables and horses – a special experience for guests. Our apartment had several windows overlooking the stables and horses, and I must admit that we liked seeing the horses.
What did we like about D’n Dries Restaurant?
I didn’t expect the food to be so good, but honestly, it was the highlight of the stay. Here you can enjoy:
- traditional Dutch dishes
- seasonal specialties
- influences from French and Asian cuisine
The spacious terrace, located in the middle of nature, is the ideal place for a relaxing meal after a day of exploring. We only had breakfast and dinner inside, because we only had cool days, but the terrace was beautifully decorated.
The riding area at Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries
One of the details that I found really special about Hotel Restaurant D’n Dries is the fact that the hotel is directly connected to a riding area – and not just symbolically, but it is actually part of the experience of the place.
Basically, we are not talking about an ordinary hotel, but about a space where nature and equestrian activities naturally combine. The stables are right nearby, and throughout the day you can see the horses walking or being trained.
In addition, the fact that you can drink your coffee while watching the horses or walk around the riding arena adds a touch of calm and authenticity that is hard to find in other places.
