RO: Știai că în Moldova se află una dintre cele mai spectaculoase poveşti ale preistoriei europene: cultura Cucuteni? Prin ceramică pictată, figurine stilizate şi aşezări bine organizate, această civilizaţie a captat atenţia arheologilor din întreaga lume. Aici se află Muzeul de Sit Arheologic de la Cucuteni din comuna Cucuteni (judeţul Iaşi).
Ce trebuie să știi despre cultura Cucuteni?
Cultura Cucuteni (aproximativ 5000-3500 î.Hr.) este o civilizaţie eneolitică de mare anvergură, care a ocupat spaţii vaste în nord-estul României, Moldova şi chiar părţi din Ucraina.

Această civilizaţie se remarcă prin:
- vase din ceramică fin lucrate, pictate în tricrom (roşu, negru, alb) cu motive spirale, zigzag, geometrice;
- statuete antropomorfe şi zoomorfe, obiecte de cult şi artă figurativă;
- aşezări bine organizate, cu o distribuţie care indică o societate cu structuri sociale şi spirituale avansate pentru vremea ei.
Ce trebuie să știi despre Muzeul de Sit Arheologic de la Cucuteni?
Muzeul se află la doar 10 km de orașul Târgu Frumos, în comuna Cucuteni, pe locul unde s-au făcut descoperirile arheologice, în punctul numit Dealul Gosan. Inaugurat în 1984, cu ocazia centenarului descoperirii culturii Cucuteni, muzeul este gândit special pentru a pune în valoare atât situl arheologic, cât și artefactele descoperite.
Arhitectura muzeului este impresionantă: mormântul tumular central (geto-dac) este protejat de o construcție circulară din piatră naturală, fără stâlpi centrali, iar platformele suspendate permit vizitatorilor să admire situl dintr-o perspectivă unică.
Acest tip de muzeu este mai rar, pentru că îţi oferă atât „locul descoperirii”, cât şi exponatele descoperite.
Ce vei vedea la Muzeul de Sit Arheologic de la Cucuteni
Printre exponatele expuse aici se numără:
- Movila / tumulul princial geto-dac: muzeul protejează direct unul dintre tumulii de pe Dealul Gosan din sec. IV î.Hr.
- Ceramică Cucuteni: vase pictate cu motive spirale, geometrice, tricrom.
- Figuri de lut antropomorfe/zoomorfe: statuete ce sugerau credinţe, ritualuri, simboluri ale unei comunităţi vechi.

What do you need to know about the Cucuteni Archaeological Site Museum?
The museum is located just 10 km from the city of Târgu Frumos, in the commune of Cucuteni, on the site where the archaeological discoveries were made, at the point called Dealul Gosan. Inaugurated in 1984, on the occasion of the centenary of the discovery of the Cucuteni culture, the museum is specially designed to highlight both the archaeological site and the discovered artifacts.
The architecture of the museum is impressive: the central tumulus tomb (Geto-Dacian) is protected by a circular construction made of natural stone, without central pillars, and the suspended platforms allow visitors to admire the site from a unique perspective.
This type of museum is rarer, because it offers you both the “place of discovery” and the discovered exhibits.
What you will see at the Cucuteni Archaeological Site Museum
Among the exhibits on display here are:
- The Geto-Dacian princely mound / tumulus: the museum directly protects one of the tumuli on Dealul Gosan from the 4th century BC
- Cucuteni ceramics: painted vessels with spiral, geometric, trichrome motifs.
- Anthropomorphic/zoomorphic clay figures: statuettes that suggested beliefs, rituals, symbols of an ancient community.
- Interactive panels
